…or, how do I keep your attention?
In our world of shiny objects and shocking headlines, how do I stay on your radar? We’re confused by what to follow, who to follow, and how to follow our innermost interests. How do we stay focused on what matters and maintain valuable relationships? How do we stop worrying about what matters to everyone else? I find myself getting exhausted by constant input; my focus suffers when I can’t take time to elaborate on an important concept, or to spend quality time with a friend, family member, or client. I fear that we’re all developing a serious shiny object syndrome!

Apart from this manic behavior, I have amazing clients who have purchased and sold several properties with me. We’ve developed both deep respect and friendship for one another, as well as the ability to work together in a constructive, stress-free process built with trust, professionalism, and enjoyment.
These qualities are very dear to me, and they are to my clients. You might say we are a fit as opposed to those who throw a fit!
Even as businesses embrace the use of AI, it’s up to us to ensure that the backbone of authenticity prevails. We still need friendships, trust, and confidence in the people with whom we engage. This feeling of trust doesn’t come from the fast scrolling we do to find a recipe, a Netflix series, or an airline ticket. Purchasing a home is one of the most monumental expenses people encounter, and It’s not to be taken lightly or undertaken with impatience. The backbone of a real estate transaction encompasses many disciplines, and a successful Broker has a huge toolbox from which to address a whole host of needs. The selling or purchasing of a home can be overwhelming and is treated with the utmost respect by a competent Broker who leads her client through the process, eliminating uncertainty with professional counsel and reliable advice.
Professional practice that yields great outcomes isn’t determined by the number of likes one seeks, nor purchased votes and reviews or how many posts one has on Instagram. Instead, it’s about knowing what you’re doing and making sure your advice to your client doesn’t cause harm. There are only so many hours in the day — chasing popularity rainbows in search of likes doesn’t necessarily serve clients’ actual needs, nor build and protect real trust.
I apologize if this sounds like a lecture. I’m not here to scold, but rather to shake things up a bit, help you think about your “social” engagements, and possibly call a spade a spade … and feel free to heart that comment if you like it LOL! In all sincerity, social media is fun and easy, and it provides a sense of belonging even when people aren’t actually together. Buying and selling a home, on the other hand, takes feet on the ground, a solid education, and skill to bring about an offer that is responsible and respectful of the process.
A skillful and experienced Broker ensures a great outcome in one of the largest investments we’re lucky enough to make. We don’t just live with the outcome, we live in it too!
