Award Winning Wines
Residents of Bainbridge Island, WA are treated to lovely local restaurants, work by local artisans, and wines from the island’s seven award-winning wineries. These wineries use locally-grown grapes, right on the island, and exceptional grapes from eastern Washington. Each winery is dedicated to making truly distinct and unique wines.
The Wineries of Bainbridge Island
Amelia Wynn Winery produces national award-winning Bordeaux, Rhone, and Northern Italian varietal wines. Tastings are by appointment-only at the winery, but the tasting room on Winslow Way is open daily. For those interested in art, the tasting room is also an art gallery, featuring local artists! Watch for new art presented during the Winslow Art Walk on the first Friday of each month.
Bainbridge Vineyards wines are 100% island fruit. Harvested from their seven acres, the grapes and fruit yield around 1,200 cases of wine that reflects the Puget Sound area each year. Madeleine Angevine, Müller-Thurgau, Siegerrebe, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Noir, as well as small plots of Zweigelt, Agria, and Dunkelfelder thrive in our vineyards. The grapes, from vines planted in 1977, are certified as 100% organic. Tastings are available Thursdays through Mondays.
Eagle Harbor Wine Co. produces primarily Bordeaux-style red wines. They strive to offer wines that taste good now and even better as they age. Wine tastings are available daily. The exceptional wines are featured at several events in the area.
Eleven Winery produces a unique variety of wines, including: Mourvedre, Malbec, Syrah, Petit Verdot, Pinot Grigio, Roussanne, Viognier, and more. Live music is featured at the winery every Saturday afternoon—jazz, folk, pop… check out the concerts at Eleven!.
